07/04/11 The three Georgians who signed the Declaration of Independence are honored by a monument in downtown Augusta. Locals are hoping to revive a ceremony there in tribute to Dr. Lyman Hall, Button Gwinnett and George Walton.
07/04/11 T hey came to celebrate something that happened long ago, but were reminded of how new Georgia was then. About 80 people gathered Monday for the annual laying of wreaths at the monument to Button Gwinnett, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
