Redevelopment supporters file lawsuit, plan Long Beach protest

07/19/11 City council leaders from Long Beach, Signal Hill, Norwalk and other area cities will be in downtown Long Beach on Thursday to throw their support behind a lawsuit seeking to protect their redevelopment funds from the state.

Redistricting map adds Hawaiian Gardens, keeps Long Beach intact

07/19/11 At Thursday s meeting of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission, members approved a mapping option that kept Lakewood largely intact in a U.S. congressional district with Bellflower and Downey, and added Hawaiian Gardens to the Long Beach district.
