Outlet channel passes initial checkup

05/18/11 Almost two weeks of testing shows the outlet channel from Lake Nighthorse is functioning well, a spokesman for the Bureau of Reclamation said Tuesday.Its running good, David Gates said as he watched 100 cubic feet of water per second cascade down Basin Creek and into the Animas River south of Durango. Its performing as it should.
