Resurfacing will bring barricades to some local streets

04/14/11 Three streets in Western Springs are scheduled for resurfacing during the 2011 construction season: Garden Avenue, from 39th Street to Walnut Avenue; Woodland Avenue, from 47th Street to 51st Street; and Hillgrove Avenue, from Wolf Road to Hampton Avenue, said Matt Supert, acting director of Municipal Services.

Meeting today on invasive grass

06/07/11 SUAMICO The state Department of Natural Resources will hold an information meeting 7-9 p.m. today at the Municipal Services Center at 12781 Velp Ave. to discuss efforts to control the invasive shoreline grass species Phragmites.
