Arizona Staff Sgt. killed in Afghanistan

06/30/11 A decorated soldier from Avondale was killed in Afghanistan. Staff Sergeant Donald Stacy's unit was attacked by insurgents, and he was injured by a roadside bomb. He died Tuesday from his wounds in Kandahar. A paratrooper, stacy had previously received a purple heart and a bronze star.

Hundreds honor fallen Fort Mill Marine

07/14/11 A Fort Mill Marine killed in Afghanistan has made his final journey home and hundreds of people lined the streets to help honor their fallen hometown hero. But as his family, friends and community gather to remember Staff Sergeant Thomas J. Dodds Dudley, a controversial church group says it plans to make an example of his funeral.
