ReBeca Ames wins state hurdle title

05/18/11 Linda Lou Lamb/Special to the News-Sun The Benson High School track and field teams traveled to the Arizona division IV state championships at Mesa Community College on Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, to compete in the 50-plus team finals, with ReBeca Ames claiming the state 100-meter hurdle championship.

Brittany Boegemann valedictorian; Kjel Gudvangen salutatorian

05/25/11 Dana Cole/San Pedro Valley News-Sun In a graduating class of 73 students, Brittany Boegemann and Kjel Gudvangen are the Benson High School 2011 class valedictorian and salutatorian. Along with outstanding grades and a list of academic accomplishments, the two graduates have been active in clubs and sports all through high school.
