Area Independence Day events

07/03/11 Celebrate America's Independence at Old Fort Western, 1-6 p.m.; 1 p.m. public tours; 4 p.m. Fourth of July Parade starting at the Capitol Parking Lot. Traditional reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by the replacing of the British colors with the "new" American flag.
