Name released of man who drowned in Current River

07/04/11 Officials say a Dyersburg man has drowned in the Current River. It happened on Saturday, July 2 near Van Buren.  The Water Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has released his name.

Sherwood pair wins permits for elk hunting

07/08/11 JASPER - For 25 lucky people, including a pair from Sherwood, the highlight of the Buffalo River Elk Festival is the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission drawing for elk hunting permits. The two-segment season will be Sept. 26-30 and Dec. 5-9.
