Civil War Days: Rival generals share stage

07/16/11 BLOOMINGTON -- Rival Civil War generals shared a stage at the David Davis Mansion State Historic Site on Saturday. Actors portraying 11 generals showed not only the historic leaders' passions for their cause, but also their respect for each other.

Garden party Sunday in Eagle Creek area will honor pioneer woman who played supporting role

07/16/11 "Mary Charlotte's Garden Party" starts at 11 a.m. at the Philip Foster Farm National Historic Site, 29912 S.E. Highway 211, Eagle Creek. There will be picnicking, tours and festivities throughout the afternoon, including live music, games, period peddlers and artisans, and the "ever popular vintage fashion show."

Vt. exhibit about Calvin Coolidge delayed

07/16/11 A new exhibit about the life and times of former President Calvin Coolidge that had been scheduled to open Aug. 6 at the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth Notch has been delayed.
