Arizona commission opens new hunting areas

07/01/11 Hunters who live in the Valley can exercise their permits a bit closer to home this September since the Game and Fish Commission opened some undeveloped, incorporated land in areas such as Peoria and Buckeye.

New Laws Allow AZGFD To Govern Firearms Hunting

07/01/11 PHOENIX, Ariz. - Thanks to new laws passed by the Arizona Legislature this past session and actions by the Arizona Game and Fish Commission on Saturday, June 25, dove hunters will find it simpler this year determining where it is legal to hunt after the season opens Sept. 1.

Sherwood pair wins permits for elk hunting

07/08/11 JASPER - For 25 lucky people, including a pair from Sherwood, the highlight of the Buffalo River Elk Festival is the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission drawing for elk hunting permits. The two-segment season will be Sept. 26-30 and Dec. 5-9.
