Pre-K program funding could be cut in half

08/09/09 BURNHAM - With many local child care programs facing cuts under the proposed state budget, parents now are running out of options when it comes to places to send their children. One area program, Mifflin County's Pre-K Counts, is going up against a 50-percent cut under both the Senate and House bills, which could be detrimental to the program, one local child care provider say.
