Insurance concerns delay cleanup of AR buildings

07/07/11 The building collapse on May 16 killed 2-year-old girl Alissa Jones and injured her mother. More than seven weeks later, the rubble remains. Alissa's grandfather, Jimmy Jones Sr. of Morrilton, tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette he wishes the site would be cleaned up soon.

Design of new LR bridge still a year away

07/08/11 Scott Bennett, the department's assistant chief engineer for planning, tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette the consultants chosen to design the bridge won't have artist renderings of potential designs available for public viewing until this time in 2012.
