02/20/10 By Lydia Seabol Avant Staff Writer In 2006, some residents in the city of Moundville and the City Council protested a group home for the mentally ill that had been planned at a vacant assisted- living facility. At the time, then-Mayor Jack Morrison said no one wanted people with mental illnesses in Moundville.
