Deputy in crash accused of texting while driving

10/06/10 The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating whether a deputy was texting or using his cell phone while driving when a county prisoner transport van with 13 inmates rear-ended a car Monday in Mt. Clemens. Deputy James Randlett, a nearly 24-year department veteran, was driving north on Madison near Parkview when the accident occurred about 3:40 p.m.

Beauregard Parish Deputy Ronnie Cooley to retire

03/15/11 Deputy Ronnie Cooley began working with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office in 1981 at the Old Gothic Jail. After a year he went on patrol. "I worked the graveyard shift for 13 years with Deputy James Longoria," said Cooley. "Back then, only two of us worked at night."

Fannin County deputy promoted

03/23/11 BONHAM -- Fannin County Deputy James Woods took the position of Chief Deputy on March 14, promoted by Sheriff Donnie Foster to fill the position left vacant by the earlier resignation of Deputy Ray Ryan.
