 06/30/09 Is it not amazing the city of Toronto cancelled all Canada Day celebrations due to the strike by city employees, but the Gay Pride events on the weekend went as planned? The parade, led by Mayor David Miller, left the usual mess and the city found enough non-union workers to clean up afterward. Too bad the city could not find the same workers to support Canada Day celebrations.
