First female bishop in AME church speaks at Sunday morning service

St. Andrew's Episcopal priest Mann dies

07/17/11 An Episcopalian priest known to say he left a career in man's law to follow God's law died Friday. The Rev. Clifton Aynesworth Mann, 66, died in his home about 8:35 p.m Friday. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1601 S. Georgia St. Survivors include Mann's wife, the Rev. Jo Roberts Mann, and their six adult daughters. SWAC poll puts Alabama State 3rd, Alabama A&M 4th in the division

07/19/11 BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- New and different were the themes at Tuesday's SWAC football media day at the Birmingham Sheraton. Alabama State's home field, the 89-year-old Cramton Bowl, received an $8.5 million upgrade to make it like new in some respects.
