    01/27/10 By Dennis Sherer, Staff Writer The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals unanimously upheld the March conviction of a Florence woman charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, citing there was ample evidence at her trial to warrant the guilty verdict.

    Appraisal led council to OK club purchase

    01/27/10 By Robert Palmer, Staff Writer The Florence City Council's decision to offer to buy the Florence Golf and Country Club was predicated, in part, on an appraisal performed by the Lauderdale County Revenue Commissioner's office.
