Bridge replacement on Blue Ball Road set to start June 18

06/10/11 A motorist crosses the Little Elk Creek bridge on Blue Ball Road Monday near Childs. Beginning June 18, the historic steel pony truss bridge on Blue Ball Road will be relieved of its duties with a new structure for the 4,700 motorists who cross the creek each day.

UPDATE: Two drown in Mason County pond

07/12/11 MASON COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM) - A Scottville man and his grandson have died after drowning in a private pond on family property in Mason County. Robert Shafer, 69, and Matthew Kox, 24, were found dead in the pond in the 7100 block of South Darr Road Monday night.
