08/10/09 COFFEEVILLE - Jamaal Jackson has been introduced as the new head football coach at Coffeeville High School. Jackson takes over for long time Pirate coach David Baughman, who announced he was stepping down to take some time off from gridiron earlier this season.
08/05/09 Strategic planning meetings were held three locations to give parents, educators and interested parties a chance to offer suggestions for a five-year development plan for the Clarke County school system. The best turnout was Sunday afternoon at Coffeeville High School where nearly 100 citizens showed up to offer input. Tuesday, about 35 citizens gathered at 11 a.m.

07/29/09 A 104-year-old woman died Friday, peacefully in her Coffeeville home that she has so vigorously defended in recent years. Edna Woodard and her daughter Rosa V. Thornton, in her 80s, lived in a mobile home on land that has been under litigation for some time. |
