Other news11/26/10 A tightfisted executive who focused on safety and the bottom line, he built the carrier into an industry leader known for its profitability. Donald Nyrop, who led Northwest Airlines for a quarter century and built it from a safety-challenged regional airline into a globe-spanning carrier focused on safety and frugality, has died. He was 98.
05/04/11 In this space several years ago, I wrote about an exchange I had with a Northwest Airlines flight attendant as we waited and waited to get off the plane at the Detroit airport, a Northwest and now Delta hub.
06/09/11 John H. Dasburg , chairman and CEO of ASTAR USA, and wife Mary Lou Dasburg have sold their Key Biscayne home for $12,610,000. The 9,213-square-foot estate, which has excellent views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline, sold for $1,369 per square foot.
