Other news06/05/11 Lightning struck an Alabama Power Co. substation near Silverhill this afternoon, knocking out electricity to nearly 62,000 customers in a wide area of Baldwin County, authorities said.
06/29/11 There were wide-spread power outages in Talladega and St. Clair County late Friday afternoon. Michael Sznajderman, a spokesman for Alabama Power Company, said that statewide about 51,000 customers were without power after strong storms rolled across Alabama Friday afternoon.
