08/17/10 Johnny Mack Brown exhaled smoke from his Winston cigarette as he sat in a wheelchair on the porch of his Danielsville home. The temperature already had reached 90 degrees, but the large sweetgum trees gave a protecting shade from the bright sun the early afternoon of Aug. 11.

Chamberlain leads Stillman to sweep of Miles

04/11/11 Patrick Chamberlain had three hits and one RBI as the starting catcher and then recorded the final four outs on the mound for his first save of the season as the Stillman College baseball team completed a three-game sweep of the Miles College Golden Bears 7-5 at historic Rickwood Field on Sunday afternoon.

Rickwood Classic ceremonial first pitch goes into second baseman's collection

06/01/11 BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Tyler Kuhn was a ready volunteer for pregame activity at Rickwood Field on Wednesday. The Barons second baseman caught a ceremonial first pitch thrown by Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry and secured an autograph.
