    Suspected terrorist ties led cops to Weinberger

    01/27/10 Northwest Indiana's notorious "nose doctor," Mark Weinberger, attracted surveillance by Italian authorities last month because they thought his mysterious comings and goings might have an al-Qaida connection. Italian police reported this week in newly released arrest information that one of the reasons he attracted their interest was suspicion that the mysterious man might have terrorist ties.

    01/22/10 New England Newspapers The Bay State Winter Games is celebrating its 25th anniversary this weekend in Berkshire County. Kevin Cummings, the executive director of the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation, has been at all 25. He said he knew the Winter Games would be special. "Right from the get-go, there was something about holding the games [in Berkshire County]," he said.

    12/31/09 Egyptian security forces were attacking protesters in Tahrir Square, at the core of downtown Cairo, after they sat down in the middle of a busy Cairo street, protesting the imprisonment of the people of Gaza.
