    Ala. man gets 32 years for 5-state robbery spree

    03/02/10 WICHITA -- An Alabama man arrested in Salina in August was sentenced to 32 years in prison for armed robberies in Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas, U.S. Attorney Lanny Welch announced Monday.

    Franklin women remain hospitalized

    03/02/10 By Tom Smith Senior Staff Writer Two Franklin County women remain in Huntsville Hospital after being injured in a Monday afternoon accident, officials said. Debbie Young, 51, and her daughter, Tamara Young White, 32, both of Vina, were injured in an accident that occurred just after 1 p.m. on U.S. 72 west of Tuscumbia. Lisa Page, 18, of Vina, was also injured.

Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan returned to work Monday after being arrested for drinking under the influence of alcohol nearly three months ago. This comes after a letter that Mayor Bill Shoemaker sent to Logan, telling him to report to work again.
