Good Hope RR crossing closed July 11-14 for repairs

07/08/11 The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced Tuesday that U.S. Route 67 at the Keokuk Junction Railroad Company crossing in Good Hope will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. Monday, July 11 until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14. The closure is necessary for reconstruction of the railroad crossing. Traffic on U.S. Route 67 will be detoured to Illinois Routes 9, 41 and 116.

Bill Evans selected as Lopez Island School District Interim Superintendent

07/18/11 The Lopez school district has appointed Bill Evans, most recently superintendent of the White Pass School District as its interim superintendent. Prior to his service in White Pass, Mr. Evans served for four years as superintendent of the Lopez Island District.
