Avalanche kills skier near Eagle River

02/13/10 At 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon, a caller told firefighters that she saw the avalanche hit two skiers and a dog near Mile 7.3 of Hiland Road; the dog and one skier emerged from the snow, but the other didn't.
